Class 5's X-ray specs

This morning we kicked off our new 'human body' theme buy beginning to talk about our skeletons. We started by sharing all the facts we know about skeletons already- turn out we already know quite a bit! We know that our skeletons hold our bodies up, and that we have special bones to protect important organs - like our skull which protects our squishy brains! We wrote a sentence about our skulls, and then we decided to use our imaginations and some spare pipe cleaners to make X-ray specs! We had a giggle as we pretended to be able to see each others bones' :) To finish up, we thought of some questions we have about skeletons, and we are planning on trying to find the answers this week. The research questions we came up with are: Do animals have skeletons? and What are skeletons made of? Stay tuned to find out our answers! ELECT: 2.6, 3.14, 4.4, 4.6
