Class 1 & 5 learning through play
This morning our oldest group and our youngest group took advantage of a spontaneous moment of fun to learn together.
As class 5 was leaving the art room we saw that Ms Andrea's friends were putting on a puppet show, and we decided to quietly sit down and enjoy the performance.
This was a great opportunity for us to set an example and help our younger friends learn about audience skills! We listened quietly, and laughed at the funny parts, and finally we gave the puppeteers a big round of applause to show our appreciation!
Our younger friends from class 1 were very excited that we had joined them, and they asked us if WE would like to take a turn at performing, which we did!
While we took our turns inside the puppet theater we tried to be role models and teach class 1 about how we share and take turns. We showed them how we approach a friends and politely ask "may I have a turn when you're done?" and "could I have the next turn, please?"
We were very proud to see our younger friends trying out their sharing skills with us, we love being role models! Thanks for letting us join you, class 1, we hope we can have some more joint-lessons soon!
