Class 5 explores symmetry
Recently we have been very interested in butterflies, since the visit of the beautiful butterfly in our playground.
Today we did some more research to take a closer look at the wings of various types of butterfly, and we noticed something special. Butterfly wings are always matching- there are always the same colours, shapes and patterns on both wings.
Butterfly wings are symmetrical!
We challenged ourselves to create a symmetrical pair of wings for our recycled material butterflies- keep an eye out for them in the vestibule!
