Class 1 - literacy

We have been working hard on our literacy skills. We practice our phonics with the use of flashcards, magnetic and sandpaper letters. We always try to say the letter and an object that starts with the letter. If a friend becomes aware that his name starts with the given letter, he says the letter and his name! We are also practicing writing letters with our literacy workbooks. We use a coloured pencil to practice proper hand grip and we also make sure we focus on directions of the lines to write our letters. We try to describe how to write our letters. We say "up down up down" when we write letter M. Elect 5.2 fine motor, 3.1 receptive language
