Class 5's playground visitor
Today as we played in the lovely warm sunshine we were all called together by our friends shouting "Oh my gosh! Look! Come see!"
We all hurried to the cubby house to see what the commotion was, and we were surprised to find a very special visitor.
A butterfly!
We all made sure to stay very still and quiet as we observed the butterfly.
We noticed that his wings looked like a rumpled leaf, they were not smooth and flat like other butterflies' we have seen before. We also noticed the lovely pattern of spots on his wings, and the delicate green fuzz on his abdomen.
When we wanted to send him on his way we all gave him a gentle blow and watched him flutter away. As he left, he even almost gave K a butterfly kiss!
It's so lovely to take time out of our busy day to stop and appreciate the small joys :)
