Sometimes the easiest way to practise alphabet recognition is to incorporate it with other activities. This morning the children expressed interest in building, so Ms. Krysten used the opportunity to build with alphabet blocks. The children who wanted to build, were able to practise head-eye coordination with the height of their towers; but, we were also able to reiterate letters. Ms. Krysten asked her friends to recognize individual letters, and then practise the sound each letter makes. Most of our friends were capable of telling us a word that started with each letter, and others were able to do so after being prompted. Awesome work, Class 2! :)
