Class 2 explored all the different shapes that surround us during art today! We glued on various shapes in different colours on white paper. We started by spreading the glue all over on white paper. While we waited for the glue to dry, we had a great discussion about shapes and provided different examples of the various shapes. Of course, most of the examples that were given were ones immediately surrounding us as opposed to thinking of ones we couldn't see at that moment, but our abstract way of thinking as opposed to concrete thinking is coming along. Once our glue was set, we then began exploring our shapes by placing them on our paper and naming them out loud. We also used our language skills to describe the colour of the shapes we were gluing on, such as "'my square is purple". We then added our LFLF touch with some sparkle by shaking glitter right over our shapes. This was a great learning experience as it was completely hands-on and extremely visual. Well done, Class 2!
