Class 1 & 2- Exploring senses through art

Today in Class 1 & 2, we had a grand old time combining together to explore our senses to express what we see and feel. Everyone received a chart that had each category labelled: "I see..." "I feel...". Since we are in the Fall season we decided to glue on what we see outside. For example:I see fall leaves or I see a blue sky way up high! Furthermore, we glued on different textures and described them through touch. Here are some examples that we used to categorize textures: soft - cotton balls; rough - sand paper; crunchy - dried up leaves. Overall, this art activity's purpose was twofold as it allowed for us to explore our senses in more depth while we used our fine motor skills to carefully glue on our items to our senses chart. What a learning experience for us little ones!

Elect:
1.1 making friends
2.6 positive attitudes towards learning
4.5 observing
5.3 fine motor
