This morning we were architects and engineers designing and building cities! As we constructed tall skyscrapers all over down town we talked about the other things our cities would need. Some suggestions included a library, a grocery store, a hospital, a subway and a police station. We even added an amusement park, just like Canada's wonderland! This type of focussed imaginative play helps us explore and expand our understanding of a city as a human habitat that must meet certain needs. We also practice listening to and validating the ideas of our peers, as well as contributing our own.
