Today we sorted colours! First we had a talk about the colours and practiced identifying them, then we got started! We took turns to sort our coloured letters into colour groups by lining them up on the carpet. If one of our friends got mixed up, we helped them by pointing to the correct colour. Sorting by various attributes (like colour) is an important early numeracy skill which helps us start to think about grouping. After our activity we also helped put the materials back into the box, because we are learning how to care for our things!
