Today we had a special guest come to help us cook ine of our favourite Halloween treats - pumpkin pie! First we had to put our pudding mix and some milk in a big bag, then we got to use our hands to smush it all together. It felt all gooey! Next we added some mashed pumpkin and mixed it up some more, and we noticed that this made the mixture change from yellow to orange! Now it's really starting to look like pumpkin pie!
Now time to use some muscles- we put some graham crackers in a different bag and used a rolling pin to smash them all up. This part was pretty noisy! Crunch, crunch, crunch!
When the crackers were nice and crumbled we put two scoops in the bottom of our cups and then added the pumpkin mix on top and added some fluffy whipped cream on the very top. Ms Lauren's class even wrote the recipe out for us so we would always remember!
What a fun sensory exploration we had while making our pumpkin pies! We can't wait to eat them for afternoon snack!
