Class 4- Playdough literacy

Today class 4 decided to integrate two of our favourite activities- playdough and our phonics flip board! We took turns choosing a letter from the flip board and reading its sound to our class, then making the letter out of playdough.  Lots of friends chose to start with the initial letter of their name,  and we all had fun thinking of other things that start with the same sound as our friends' names. Using playdough to make letter shapes lets us explore the formation of letters in a more tactile, sensory way- which is very important for the friends in our class who are kinaesthetic learners and learn by doing/feeling.
