Class 4- Everone's birthday!

This afternoon our imaginations transformed our sand box into a bakery! We got to work making a big batch of cakes because it was EVERYONE'S birthday! We used metric measuring spoons to get the ingredients just right, and counted to 30 while our cakes cooked. When they were done we realised we didn't have any candles to go on top! So we grabbed some money and went to the store in the cubby house to buy some candles for the birthday cakes, we needed an extra big box so we counted out five dollars (blocks) for the store. We drove back home and put the candles on the cakes and then it was time to sing happy birthday to each other :) What a great numeracy adventure we had, and without even realising!
