LFLF friends, family, and teachers went to the Toronto Zoo today and what a fantastic day it was!! We started our zoo experience in Indo-Malaya where we saw butterflies, snakes, an assortment of fish and orangutans! Little friends were especially captivated by the giant fish with the big lips as they put they're face right up against the glass. After a quick snack we ventured into the African Savanna. This is a much larger section of the zoo which is explored for most of our trip. We watched the very tall giraffes eat some leaves and tried to find the hippos hiding underwater. We counted two rhinoceroses, two tigers, and three lions! We also tried to count the zebra stripes but there were way too many!! After walking through the entire African Savanna and seeing animals big and small LFLF friends were tired and in need of lunch! We all ate lunch together and had some special Popsicle treats in the shade. It was such a fun day and we can't wait for our next field trip! We hope everyone had fun with their Mommies and Daddies at the splash pad afterwards!
