This morning we got constructive! First we built with the hard, smooth giant legos; making trains, cars, towers and even dragons! Next we decided to have a go with the magic sand, it felt very different to the giant legos! Magic sand is very soft and squishy, and it feels grainy instead of smooth like plastic. With the magic sand we made things like cookies, cakes, pizzas, balls and buried treasure. Manipulating and comparing different kinds of materials helps us develop tactile and sensory awareness and build our descriptive vocabulary. The fine motor muscles in our hands and fingers get a work out and our imaginations do too! We love to build and create :)
