Class 3 - Back to School of Fish

Class 3 was extremely creative this morning.  As Class 3 arrived Ms. Camille and Ms. Deanne traced our hands on very special colourful construction paper.  We burned off some energy outside, ate snack, and then made our way up to the art room.  Once we got cozy, we glued our hand prints to paper and then painted our hands.  Our goal was to turn our hand prints into fish, to create a SCHOOL of fish; in accordance with our back to school theme.  After we were finished with our painting and pasting, we put our fine motor skills to work by sticking gems the bodies of our fish.  Talk about a colourful piece of artwork, they look great, Class 3! :)

Class 2 - Circus Hats

Class 2 used a myriad of materials to make a collage that will eventually double as a clown hat.  First, everyone picked their favourite colour of construction paper to start with.  Next, everyone put their fine motor skills to work as they peeled the backs off of stickers, placed tiny jewels, and glued fine curled ribbon to their papers.

Special Visitor - Ms. Vanessa

This Friday LFLF had a special guest come in. A yoga instructor named, Vanessa came and taught us cool moves such as downward dog, tree pose, and others! We also got to experience shaking the gourd and laying oh so still while the singing bowl circled around our heads as we tried to hum to the sound.  We danced like caterpillars and felt our bellies as we took deep breaths in and out.

Class 4 - Teddy Bear Tea Party

Class 4's pyjama party took place in our basement play area.  Our friends took full advantage of the dress up hats from the dramatic play area, pretending they were teddy bears, themselves.  Some of us drank hot tea, some of us drank warm tea, and some of us enjoyed iced tea.  Remind you of anything? 

As far as the 3 Little Bears are concerned, we prefer our coffee hot!

Class 3 - Jammies and Tea!

Class 3 know how to make a party special.  My friends from Class 3 are quite the conversationalists.  We discussed our plans for the upcoming weekend, we talked about the weather, and we also discussed Ms. Alesha's travel plans to Mexico.  We sure we're cozy in our PJ's, we think more people should try having tea in their pyjamas because we had a great time!

Class 2 - Pyjama Tea Party

This morning we set up a tea party in the drama area. Lucky for Ms. Camille and Ms. Skyler, they were able to join us. We had tea, coffee, cupcakes, and ice cream. Ms. Skyler brought one of her baby friends named, Amber and one of our friends brought her baby friend named Tihanna.  Ms. Camille brought in her stuffie dragon, Pilgor. During our play we exchanged ice cream and cupcakes, politely asked for tea, and poured drinks for our guests. When we wanted something that somebody had we remembered to use our magic words, 'please', and 'thank-you'.  What a great party, Class 2 :)
