Class 5 - Guided reading

This morning we sat down together to practice our reading with some of our group-readers. We are so lucky to have a big set of ten identical books so that each of us can use our very own copy to follow along. Our group reading is getting better and better because we are increasingly able to string together the sight words that we recognise and fill in the gaps by sounding out and looking for clues in the illustrations. When we read together we follow along with our 'reading finger' so that we can track where we are up to. We are so excited with our progress, great reading everyone!
