Today, class one talked about the much awaited season to come, summer! We talked about what we know about summer. We shared that it's the season after spring and before fall. We also said that it's the time of the year where it's really hot and we don't wear jackets anymore. We also talked about what food helps us recover from the heat which is ice cream! Class one then decided to make our own ice cream. We cut up a triangle shape from brown construction paper which will serve as our cone, round shape from yellow construction paper and squished some cut up tissue paper which serves as our sprinkles! We had a fun time as we exercised our conversation skills as well as enhance our imaginative skills as we make our own ice cream. We have also practiced our fine motor skills as we carefully squish some tissue paper and glue it on our ice cream!
