Class 1/2 - Olympic Rings

Today Class 1/2 friends designed a heart of Olympic Rings! Our rings represent the colours of the Olympics and the heart is our love for our athletes! This also gave us the opportunity of exploring colour and creating patterns through circles. Furthermore, our fine motors were enhanced as we used our hands to grasp cups and place them in paint to stamp on paper. We really loved this art experience as we shared colours and got creative in celebration of the Olympics! Wonderful work friends!

Class 1/2- Fun Under The Sun

Today Class 1/2 friends had lots of fun under the sun! We used our gross motors to run around the playground, rode bicycles and cars as well as explored in the sand bin! Furthermore, we explored different objects with some water play, inside our soapy mini pool! We absolutely loved water play today because we got to move objects in the pool with golf clubs, splash one another and enjoy the bubbles between our fingers. This allows for us to gain stronger coordination skills as we focused on touching the objects with our clubs! We can't wait to play out in the sun again soon!

Cooking Class

Today the LFLF summer camp children enjoyed baking carrot muffins. They decorated, mixed and ate these delicious treats. It's safe to say it was a very special Friday. Way to go friends.

Class 1/2 Beach Scene

Today we made a beach scenery using blue and golden shades! Our beach scenery included a beautiful palm tree which is a reminder of tropical weather! We started this art activity by organizing blue and gold paint for everyone to share. Everyone got a blank white paper and we began painting! We then glued on a palm tree! We added some glitter to sparkle our scenery! Great work friends!

French " Oh, Mr.Sun"

On this warm Wednesday morning, we wanted to have a special french class outside in the schools outdoor play area! As we were eating yummy freezies to keep us cool, we noticed that mr sun was hiding in the clouds.
To encourage Mr sun to come out and play we sang "Si tu aime le soleil/ if you love mr sun" that resembles the song "if you're happy an you know it" in french by singing and dancing!
After a few tries, mr sun finally came out and play until it was time to go back inside!
What a great way to spend a lovely Wednesday morning!

Word list:
Soleil-sun
Aime- love
Si tu aimes le soleil - if you love mr sun
Frappe les mains - clap your hands

Class 1/2- Zoo Animals

For zoo week Class 1/2 observed a zoo animal of their choice and sketched it on paper! This was great as we enhanced our observational skills while strengthening our fine motors! We absolutely loved this art experience as we really had the chance to capturing the features of animals and what makes each uniquely special! We hope you love our zoo animals around the school on display!
