LFLF - Passover Cups

At LFLF, we strive to have a culturally inclusive environment.  We try our very best to show respect for every culture, and celebrate the different traditions our LFLF families celebrate. One of the traditions celebrated by many of our LFLF families this April is Passover. 

To appreciate Passover, we made our very own Passover cups with tissue paper, glue and some glitter.  We learned that Passover is a Jewish holiday celebrated in recognition of the freedom of the children from Egypt.

Class 5 - Dance Rehearsal

This week for the first time Class 5 did a full rehearsal of the two special dances they will be performing at our concert in June! Here's a sneak peek performance! Shh...but, I won't get into details

Class 4 - Literacy Review

Today, Class 4 identifiied and reviewed letters from the alphabet while playing a game together.  Each child was assigned a few puzzle pieces and they were asked to complete the puzzle together as a group. While doing so they also sang alphabet and reinforced their phoinc awareness.

Class 3 - Dance

Class 3 has been putting so much effort into our concert practice. We've been making so much progress already and we can't wait for the concert day itself. We did such a great job today, recalling steps, exercising and stretching that Ms. Deanne let us play 3 games afterwards. Hurray Class 3!

Class 1 - Earth Appreciation

Even though the official Earth day has passed, our love and appreciation for the Earth shouldn't be exclusive to one single day.  So, In honour of that, Class 1 had fun putting an Earth collage together.  Combined with a literacy oppurtunity, we wrote out the phrase, 'I love Earth'.  We used blue, purple and green tissue paper to represent the ocean and land.  Good job friends !

Class 2 - Reading

This week the friends of Class 2 enjoyed some quiet time while independent reading! Some of them chose to read along with a friend, and others chose to read by themselves. They read all about spring and the insects and bugs we find in during the warmer weather!
