Class 2 - Polar Bears

Class 2 explored painting and adding 3D crafts to their art projects this week. After painting their construction paper polar bears white, the friends of Class 2 then added googley eyes, and cotton balls to help bring their polar bear art to life. Everyone enjoyed exploring the different art experience this week.

Class 2 - PJ Day

Class 2 was super comfy in their PJs because the whole school celebrated pajama day! We completed pajama themed art, danced around and had lots of fun, and read nice quiet books. Even though the students were completing all of these activities in their comfortable PJs, although, everyone remained hard working and focused. What a great way to end a great week!

Class 3 - Special Birthday

Last week a very special friend celebrated their birthday party with the friends from LFLF.  We had a last minute pyjama party (as you can tell by the pictures) and Class 1 joined us to participate in an exciting obstacle course.  We ate cupcakes and sang to our friend, and wished them a very happy birthday.

Class 2 - Learning about Colours

Colours, colours and more colours! The friends of Class 2 explored their colors by mixing and finding out which primary colours create secondarily colours. After mixing them, they used their fine motor skills to trace the words out on paper. All of the friends were excited to see thatthe colours they mixed were the colours they traced out. Learning about colours seems to be a fun experience for the friends in Class 2, as they were were excited to be little explorers this week.

Class 5 - Counting with Colours

Class 5 worked on there numeracy skills as they recognized and counted colours. We started by naming the following symbols: "+", "=" and what they stand for. We then counted each colour and added them together using our "counting fingers".  Once we had figured out

the amount of colours added, we then wrote down the number beside the
"=" symbol. Overall, Class 5 did a wonderful job counting colours!
After the first question they were able to complete the rest of the worksheet independently! We are so very proud of them for putting there best efforts into there work. Thus, this math activity was a fun way of practicing simple addition. Great work class five! Keep it up!

Class 1 - Melting Snowmen

At this time of year, snow is around us. We had a chance to put our imaginations to the test to create what a snowman would look like once the weather starts to warm up.  Our friends used white paint to create a 'puddle' of snow and then we set the snowman's clothing on top of our puddles! 

Here's hoping for a few more months of winter before the snow is gone for 2016!
