Class 1- book time!

Today class one decided to do book reading. We all got our own books, sat on our own spots and described what we see on our books. We shared how our story always starts with "once upon a time". We took clues from pictures to describe what's happening in our story. We shared to our friends what we love about our book. It's so much fun to read and socialize with your friends. It helps us explore our imagination and communication skills. It also helps us develop our pre-literacy skills! Class 1 explores the human body

Today we talked about our human body. We first sat in a circle and shared what we know about it. Some of our friends showed parts of their body like feet, ears, nose, hands and toes. We also shared that some of us take a bath and drink milk to care for our body. We also learned that we need to get a goodnight sleep to help our bodies grow. To end our activity, we traced a human body drawing and shared what we remembered during our discussion in circle. We used our fingers to carefully hold our crayons as trace our drawing. Class 3 is making progress!

Class 3 has gotten really good at building our name puzzles. For the puzzle to work we have to remember how to spell our names and remember to keep our letters the right way around (Elect 3.12 understanding orientation). Some of the friends are so good at their own names that they are starting to try some puzzles that spell our common words. Good job class 3!

Class 5 - exploring our bodies

This afternoon class 5 read a book about our bodies, and in particular we were interested to read about our joints and how these help our bodies move.

We decided to lay down and experiment with the different directions that different joints can move. Our knee joints only go forward and back, but our hip joints can go almost in a whole circle! After experimenting with our joints we decided that our neck joints are some of the coolest, because of all the different up-down and side-to-side movements it can make.

Happy Birthday, Friend!

Class five celebrated ANOTHER birthday today! Two birthdays in a row? What a treat!

We played musical chairs, had lots of singing and dancing, and even enjoyed some delicious treats for snack.

We are so proud of our growing friends, and we love having party days!

Class 4: Literacy

We all know how to spell our own names, most of us even know how to spell our friends names.  Today, Ms. Camille tried tricking us by putting just one of the letters in our names on a piece of paper... but not the first letter, that would be too easy.
Instead, Ms. Camille put a letter from the middle of our name and we had to spell our names aloud over and over again to remember the letters that came before the letter placed on the paper.  Turns out we tricked Ms. Camille and we needed very little help.
