Pre K Numeracy

Our class has been having fun with counting and one to one correspondence. First we chose some objects (blocks and shells), and then we practiced counting them. We all counted the objects together as a class, and then we all had a turn counting them by ourselves. Afterwards, we also built our social skills and worked together to build a tower using the blocks. We are getting better and are excited to keep practicing!

Ms Lauren's Class get's busy!

Ms Lauren's Class has been learning about their Portfolios this week. They have been a wonderful help filing their artwork in their very special Portfolios that will go out at the end of the month. The children even wanted to create a special art project just so they could file it!
These Portfolios are a great way for the children to reflect and open a dialogue about what they do at School. We are so proud of their creativity and imagination :)

PreK indoor creative play

Today, the children had fun playing with the marble run toy indoors. They worked in teams and they built their own roller coaster through trial and error. The children enjoyed sending the marble down the roller coaster and watching it go round and round! Some children blew on the mini wheels in order to make the marble go down faster. Great teamwork everyone!

Pre K outdoor water play

Today our Pre K children engaged in a sensory activity with water in the playground. The children had fun touching water and pouring water from one container to another. They used various tools to fill up different containers such as the plastic turtle and the plastic buckets. Water play is so much fun!

Marble Painting

Today in Art class we made an abstract painting with marbles! We used a few buckets, put our paper in it, added some paint, and moved it around to make our painting. We noticed that when the colours were mixing, it would turn a different colour. We saw red and blue turn purple, and blue and yellow turn green. We hope you enjoy our abstract paintings!

Pre K French

This week in French class we have been learning some Greeting words and learning new songs. We love our 'Bonjour Mes Amis' song where we get to say Bonjour to each of our friends! We are all excited to learn more French words throughout the year!
