Class 5 - Getting Ready for Winter

Winter is almost here and Class 5 had a discussion about the things we wear to protect ourselves from the bitter cold winter weather that we all seem to wish we didn't have to endure. We talked about snowpants, mittens, jackets and a toque or winter hat to keep our heads and of course, our brains warm and cozy. Some of us even have 2 or more winter hats at home. During art time, we took out papers, paints and brushes and made our very own winter hat. We also put sparkles to make it pretty. We personalized our winter hat by writing the first letter of our name. We ended our activity by incorporating it in our literacy. We wrote how winter hats are used to protect ourselves from the cold weather! Great work, Class 5!
