Class 1/2 - Musical Group Class

This week during music class, our little friends from Class 1 and 2 got together and practiced their Teddy Bear song. The friends first reviewed the lyrics with the movements and then listened to the song played on the piano. They accompanied the music with their own voices and the movements. Then they practiced clapping a steady beat while singing the Teddy Bear song. To make an even steady beat, the friends clapped while counting 1-2-3-4 out loud. The friends took it one step further and clapped steady beats while counting silently in their heads. They also learned a new, more difficult rhythm to clap along with the Teddy Bear song. This rhythm has two fast eight counts and a slower quarter count that repeats. Good work listening to the music, Class 1 and 2!
