French- Spooky Words

In our French classes, we started off the week with our Halloween theme. One of our special words of the week was "Spooky" (Effrayant). First we learned that "spooky" means "something strange and frightening". Then we talked about examples of things that were spooky and the children came up with the example that ghosts are spooky so they learned that the word "ghost" in French is Fantôme! Our French teacher took time to explain to us that some ghosts are really friendly ones. We also had a scavenger hunt looking for any friendly ghosts that flew away and were playing hide and seek from us! We all had tons of fun! Way to use your imaginations, my LFLF friends!
