Class 3- Morning Volcano Circle

During our morning circle, we learned all about ....VOLCANOES! Some of the fun facts that we learned included:

-Volcanoes look like mountains with smoke coming out of the top!

-Volcanoes are openings in the Earth’s surface!

-Hot liquid rock under the Earth’s surface is known as magma and it is called lava after it comes out of a volcano!

-Once the lava cools off on the surface it turns into rock and becomes a dark grey, black colour!

We also learned that the word V-O-L-C-A-N-O starts with the letter V! Then, we practiced our literacy skills by tracing the letters and even tried writing the letter and word by ourselves afterwards! It was so much fun! Excellent job, Class 3!
