During dance class we challenged our balancing skills, struck poses and modelled as animals! We started our class with stretches as usual to loosen our muscles and warm up. Then we began with dance poses. We laid on the floor with our bodies positioned on our sides and held our heads up with our hands and elbow on the floor. We continued to pose this way by switching our body's right and left. Then we laid on our tummies and held our head up with our hands while moving out legs side to side. Everyone seemed to love that pose as we all giggled. After our dance poses, we challenged our balancing skills using soft blocks. We played our beany bag song and placed the soft blocks on different parts of our body as we walked around the room! Some of the body parts we tried to balance our soft blocks on were our shoulders, head, toes, back, and knees! Everyone did a fantastic job keeping the blocks from falling off there body! Once we had put our blocks away, we then concluded our class with some animal action! This was great because we all had the opportunity to choose what animal we wanted to become! Some of the animals we chose were cats, elephants, dogs, giraffes, fish, and lions. Overall, our dance class today brought a great start to the week as we all started our week with smiles and joy!
