Class four had the opportunity to explore our patterning skills through marble painting! We used different textured and different sized marbles to create what we call a pattern wall. Onto our blank slate we dipped the marbles in paint colors of our choice and then proceeded to roll them around our white paper in an aluminum tray. We noticed that as we used different colored marbles the colors were mixing and forming brand new colors into our papers. We also noticed that if the marble didn't roll but instead slid down to the other side of the paper it made a "swish pattern" across the paper. We look forward to using different materials to create different patterns!
