Class 3 - Sorting

Today, Class 3 chose to explore using Lego blocks. Instead of building with the Lego blocks, we sorted the Lego blocks into both colours and numbers. First, Ms. Alesha wrote the name of different colors onto a piece of paper and then she coloured circles with that same color so we could match the Lego color to the colour on the piece of paper. Once we finished that activity, Ms. Alesha flipped the papers over and wrote the numbers one to six on the other sides as well as drew the number of circles which coresponded with the number written down. We then counted the amount of heads each Lego piece had and placed it on the appropriate number. We told Ms. Alesha that next time we should sort by shape!
