Class 5 was introduced to the topic of sink or float today. Everyone gathered in a circle and was first asked if they would like to have a science activity. Everyone cheered and was very excited that it's another day to work on increasing our science knowledge. We gathered our materials and talked briefly about which materials will sink and which will float. Then, we got a container, filled it with water and dropped our materials inside the container. Before we dropped our own materials, we hypothesized first if it will sink or float. After our activity, we got our papers, wrote something about our science activity and drew the container and materials that sunk and floated. We concluded that plastics and light materials float while metals and heavy materials sink.
