Class 5 - Fine Motor Fish

Today, Class 5 worked on a fine motor/art activity.  First, the class had their hands traced, turning their palms into shapes that resembled the mouth of fish.  Secondly, the class was asked to chose their favourite colour to outline the body of their fish.  Once that portion of the activity was complete, Class 5, then chose more colours to fill in the body of the fish.
This is where the fun really picked up. The class was then presented with mutilcoloured jewels and instructed to outline only the body of the fish.
Sounds easier then it looks.  The jewels the class had were probably about half the size of your pinky nail.  This activity required much focus, hand-eye coordination, efficient use executing pincer grasps, and attention to detail.
Class 5 knocked this activity out of the park, always up for a challenge.  To add a bit more fun into the mix, the kids also gave their fish names. :)

Elect: 1.1, 1.2, 2.7, 2.8, 3.3, 4.1
