Class 3 had a great circle time talking about how our school year is going very well so far. We decided to talk about the materials that we need in our school. Some friends said we need pencils, scissors and glue. We all learned that these three materials are vital in our learning. We use pencils for our writing activities. We use scissors in cutting up papers which enhance our scissors skills and fine motor skills. We also use glue for sticking things together. We learned that there are more materials that we need for our school too. We need crayons, papers, flash cards and erasers.
After we talked about the materials we use in school, we incorporated what we learned with writing. We carefully held our pens properly and traced the lines/letters. Finally, we coloured the drawing of the materials we need.
