Surprise Baby Shower for Ms. Aneika!

Today, LFLF had to say a temporary goodbye to one of our favourite ladies! Ms. Aneika is in need of some much deserved 'me' time. Not only will Class 5 miss this lady, all of our friends from LFLF will miss her dearly. First time mommy, we know her new little person will be coming home to a wonderful family. Thanks for all the great memories, learning opportunities and giant smiles. Always welcome back, Ms. Aneika. Please bring her for a visit whenever you feel it's safe.

Class 3 - Brain Gym

My little friends incorporated brain gym this morning into our class. We worked with sorting and lacing beads, group and individual puzzles, and train tracks. Brain gym is a series of exercises that helps kids boost self esteem, increase creativity, sharpen the mind, coordination and flexibility. We are happy that even at such a young age we are getting ready to be more academically equipped and have fun at the same time.

Class 5 - Language

This week class 5 have been continuing their discussion on Autumn and the various colours, events, and changes we will see such as the leaves turning colours, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and cooler weather. Today we decided to write about what we like about Autumn; each of us came up with various reasons.

Class 1 - Primary Paint Discovery

Class 1 started our morning with colourful art activity :)

First, we identified the shape of a circle. Then, we mixed paint with shaving cream and used the top of our containers to stamp out some circles. Firstly, we started with primary colours, blue, red and yellow. Then, something interesting started to happen! After our circles started to overlap, we noticed that when certain colours mixed, they made something called secondary colours. Our most favourable discovery being that, blue and red make purple! So cool! :)

Class 4 - Indoor Obstacle Course

Today, Class 4 had tons of fun hopping and jumping and crawling through our very own obstacle course. Our first mission was to jump over a very tall tower built of foam blocks. After that we did five jumping jacks on the Orange may! Then we crawled through our rainbow tunnel and once we crawled through sucessfully we gave miss Alesha a huge high five. We then crawled through the sky blue tunnel and finally hopped onto the green carpet!

Class 2 - Outdoor Play

I get by with a little help from my friends! ...Class 2 enjoyed exploring the creative side of friendship, by painting and colouring their art work together. We made friendship hearts, blooming friendship gardens and even chalk pictures. Class 2 had a blast share and imagining together to create masterpieces!

Class 4 - Birthday Celebration!

A special friend in Class 4 celebrated a very special day on Friday! Yes, another birthday amoung the LFLF family. With her Mini-Mouse ears in place, this friend shared treat bags and cupcakes with her friends; boy, we sure were very thankful for the treats!

This day was filled with an obstacle course, birthday songs and of course, a lot of love.
