Class 5 - The jelly balls

When we went back to check on our science experiment we were amazed with what we found- the tiny, hard balls have grown much bigger and gone all squishy! We also noticed that almost all the water is gone- where did it go?
The jelly balls absorbed all the water up! That's how they got bigger and softer, just like what happens when we cook grains of rice! Our jelly balls are an amazing sensory experience as you feel the wet, slimy spheres slither around your fingers; we had a great laugh sharing our descriptions of the sensation!
