Today our mini preschoolers worked
with wet to dry clay. The children used their hands and fingers to manipulate non
toxic clay into shapes. The children created dogs, snakes, monsters and bowls
amongst other ideas. This definitely helped develop their fine motor skills as
the clay needed to be kneaded. One preschooler came up with the idea
to put googly eyes on his clay snake. This activity definitely helped their
creative representation skills to flourish. When the clay dries it will be
painted and we can't wait to see what their imaginations will cook up then!
