As we begin to explore and expand our drawing and writing skills we are also focussing on developing our fine motor strength, dexterity and manipulation. This involves building and strengthening our hand-eye coordination and the muscle tone in our hands and wrists, and one activity we love which helps us do this is threading! Today we sat down and really got focussed on threading the fine string through the small holes on the 'beads'.
It's fantastic to see the levels of determination and resilience in each little friend as they try and try again to accurately thread the pieces onto the strings. The ability to persevere through difficult tasks is one of the most important things we learn before 'big school' and we are so lucky to have the opportunity to practice this through some of our favourite games. Great job, friends!
