Class 2- Name Writing Practice

Today we sat down at our white tables to do some guided writing with our teacher and friends. Our teacher modelled the formation and directionality of the text and then we had a go at tracing our names. We focussed on developing our pencil grips to give us more control of our writing tools and help us to form each letter well. We also took turns to point out letters we recognise within our names and our friends names, and we talked about the sounds these letters make. It's so exciting to be going on our early literacy journey!
