Today our Mini Preschoolers participated in a Matching Alphabet and
Number Game. A board was set up with large letters from A to Z. The Preschoolers were given a number of alphabet stickers to attach to the
corresponding letter.
The children loved the game! This activity fostered their
Letter Recognition skills and they all were able to identify the letter that
begins their name.
The eager learners were also given a board
with the numbers 0 to 5 and the correct number of dots next to the written
numeral. The children were given number stickers and encouraged to place them
next to the matching number. This game improved their Representing Numbers
skills because they were recognising numbers in print and representing numbers
in different ways. This activity was a great way to foster math and language
learning and helped improve the children's
confidence in these areas.
