Class 1 - Counting Star Points

This week one of the things we're learning about is stars! Today we made our own sparkle stars. Before we added sparkles to the stars we practiced our math skills. We used one to one correspondence by touching our finger to each point on the star as we said the numbers. After a few tries we were all able to count the five points and understand that the number five represented their cardinality. Ms Meghan helped our little friends add written numbers to the stars and we will continue to use them this week to practice our counting!
