Class 5 concert rehearsal

Today we practiced all of our dances by ourselves! We told Ms Lauren to sit in the audience and enjoy the show!

Happy Birthday Ms Lauren!

Today was Ms Lauren's Birthday! We surprised her with a Birthday Card and a Happy Birthday song! Happy Birthday! 

Class 2 & 4 - Dance

This week we have been practicing very hard on our Dances! We have been doing a great job remembering where our own spots on the dance floor are. We are getting better and better at remembering our dance steps and are having fun practicing! 

Class 1 - Bean Sprouts Update

Our bean plants are doing an amazing job of growing really tall! Today we checked in on them and class one was so excited to see their progress. We worked together to put straws into the cups to support the stems as they grow. Then we used some basic mathematical process skills to compare and sort the plants to figure out which one was tallest and shortest. We put them on the shelf where sun can reach them and gave them some water. Class one's love and care is keeping our plants thriving!

Class 1 - Outdoor Fun!

As the year goes on the little friends in class one become closer and closer every day. Today class 1 made a puzzle together as a group outside! When it was finished they all  sat on it together. Without prompting or help from Ms. Meghan class one squished together and considerately made sure everyone had room in the puzzle. Good stuff friends!

Class 3- free drawing

Today we took some art time to use our imaginations and draw whatever we wanted! It's awesome to see how far we've come with our drawing skills :)
Some friends drew their family, some drew planets or monsters and one friend even made a class portrait! We cant wait to show our awesome drawings to mums and dads.

Happy Birthday!

On Monday we celebrated a birthday! Since it was a beautiful day we decided to have a special Birthday Picnic outside! Our birthday boy brought some yummy cupcakes with lots of sprinkles on top! After singing Happy Birthday we all helped make a sand cake and sang Happy Birthday again! Thank you for the treats and Happy Birthday!

Class 1 - Running!

This morning we were especially active during our time outside! One of our little friends had the great idea of having a race. We all lined up along the wall and when Ms. Meghan said "1,2,3 go" we took off! After running a few times we also tried hopping, skipping, and jumping. Class 1 had a blast while practicing these skills and gained coordination and balance along the way!

Class 1 - Car Painting

We got creative in Visual Arts and used our favorite cars to make pictures! Using a variety of tools to create allows us to develop our fine motor skills in more specific and unique ways. This eventually will lead to a more diverse range of motion in our hands. Look for the finished products in our portfolios! We will continue to look for unique materials with which we can paint and create!

Class 2 - Learning with Technology

We have been learning our letter recognition and phonics with technology with the help of Ms Menaka! We practiced saying the letter, making the sound and finding words that begin with that sound. Afterwards we all got a chance to practice our fine motor skills while we traced the letter with our finger! 

Class 2 - UFO

Last week we made UFO ships in Visual Arts. This week we are making our own creatures to go on them! They are very funny with lots of eyes and antennas!
