JK Science Experiment

Our JK Class has become quite fascinated with Volcanoes. We decided to paper mache some volcano shapes

then add some paint and use the finished product for our experiment. We did some research and learnt how a chemical reaction between baking soda and vinegar can cause an eruption so we decided to hypothesize what would happen if we put those 2 ingredients into our Volcanoes. As you can see from our pictures we created quite a volcanic explosion!
The children loved this experiment and are excited to take their volcanoes home to try it again and again!
