Acro Jazz!

On Thursdays our specialised dance class is Acro Jazz. The children help roll out the matting to keep their bodies safe. We start with a warm up jazz dance to music then ease our bodies into some stretches. Then we work on developing our core muscles which help us to balance. Today we practiced our coconut somersault rolls being very careful to tuck our chin to our chest then some logs rolls where we keep our body tight. We practiced some donkey kicks as a preparation skill for learning handstands, We then finished off our class by practicing balancing on the big blue balls and then a yoga coll down.
