Class 5- Musical Theatre

Today are friends from Class 5 learned the song Please Porridge Hot. Our friends reviewed the steady beat and rhythm from our last music lesson.They practiced clapping the rhythm. They clapped their hands for the long sounds and tapped their knees for the short sounds. They followed my clapping very attentively and tried to memorize the pattern. For a special challenge, they clapped the pattern in groups of two. The partners had to focus on each other to be in sync. At the same time they had to actively listen to the music. Lastly, the friends then took turns leading the class which was a great learning experience for them. They clapped and sang the song for everyone else to follow. Good work Class 5!
