Class 2- Sensory Recognition

Today Class 2 proudly used their observational skills as well as their numeracy skills to identify and count various items in pictures. We used our sense of "sight" to describe what "we see" in the pictures. Furthermore, we worked together to organize our cards in rows to make it easier to look through them. This allowed Class 2 to spontaneously choose photos that caught their eyes' interest and then described what they saw followed by counting the items in the pictures. For example; "I see teddy bears". Then, as we used our pointing finger to count the teddy bears in the photo, we'd say "I see 5 teddy bears". Overall, this was a fun and interactive sensory and numeracy activity, as it allowed for us to focus on our observational skills to analyze, count and use descriptive language.
