Class 5 - Word Families

Class 5 engaged in an exciting activity which allowed for them to enhance their reading skills. We used specially made word cards to create simple sentences. Within the past couple of weeks, class five has been focusing on the following word families: “op”, “at”, and “ig”. They have been working very hard on learning how to sound out new words and remembering the word family endings. To make this reading activity fun, we sometimes play “teacher”. This is when Class 5 helps each other sound out words while all learning at the same time. As Class 5's teacher, I am extremely proud of their progress within the last few weeks. Most of my friends are able to read these sentences all on their own! Thank you for putting your best efforts in your learning Class 5! We are looking forward to learning some new word families in the near future.
