Class 1 hatching chicks

A hatching Easter egg art

To celebrate easter, we made a hatching Easter egg today. We also talked about our plans for the long weekend while were doing our art.

To make a hatching Easter egg we made use of construction paper, tissue paper and a drawing of a chick. We first made a collage where we carefully picked which colour of tissue paper to use to put in our hatching Easter egg. When we were finally done covering it, we coloured a chick yellow and cut it. Finally, we glued the chick to the hatching Easter egg.

We had fun doing our hatching Easter egg while having a conversation with our friends. Carefully picking which paper to use helps us enhance our fine motor skills (elect 5.3 fine motor skills). Having a conversation with friends shows us how to socialize well ( elect 1.1 making friends, 1.5 interacting positively and respectfully, 1.8 taking another persons point of view) and doing an artwork related to our upcoming holiday helps us enhance our creativity (elect 4.22 using spatial relations). Happy Easter everybody!!!
