This week we've been talking a lot about stars and the sun. We are learning that the sun is also a star and that it's incredibly hot. In art class we each made our own suns! We used tissue to make the sun yellow and fiery, and aluminum foil to make it shine! This activity allowed us first to practice the skill of tool use as we applied glue to paper plates with brushes. We then further developed our fine motor skills by applying each small piece of tissue and foil to the plates. The finished suns are now in the music room brightening it up!
